Engine Subframe FEA Analysis

This project was a joint effort between myself and another member of the BAJA SAE team to analyze different material options for our car's engine subframe using ABAQUS software. The report was made for our Mechanical Engineering Computation course, which included a combination of longhand matrix FEA, numerical methods, and advanced FEA softwares like ABAQUS. The project was just as much an analysis of the subframe as it was a study of how these types of software work, and what can be done to optimize their performance.
